Goals

Establish the Susquehanna Warrior Reserve as a nonprofit force for dignity-driven support—connecting individuals to trauma-informed resources that restore stability, opportunity, and hope. Through strategic partnerships and community-rooted action, SWR empowers resilient, inclusive communities across Northeast Pennsylvania.

Our first focus will be on our young people who are aging out of foster care, juvenile support programs, and those living in high risk environments facing housing insecurity or homelessness.

Request support, guidance, resources and commitment from local organizations. A member from each organization listed below is requested to serve on the SWR board to ensure success:

Develop metric system to determine success rates.

Obtain funding through fundraising and seek financial opportunities provided by state and federal programs.

Develop tiered supportive housing program.

Provide temporary housing and services for those that must obtain a secure address through legal action through Luzerne County Court, Corrections and Probation.

Develop partnerships with local colleges to develop workforce programs in partnership with big and small local businesses and universities to address the needs in different fields. Microtraining for specific trades that are needed in NEPA; short-term, long-term options to get people moving and working as they are on their healing journey. This will add an additional improvement to overall quality of life of those we serve.
